Chunky Cable Knit Headband
This beginner friendly chunky cable knit headband pattern is a great way to get started in cable knitting. Even if you've never knit cables before! Super bulky.
Materials
- .5 balls Super Bulky Weight Yarn Wool-Ease Thick & Quick recommended
- Size US 13 9mm needles - circular or straight
- 1 Cable needle
- 1 Tapestry needle or crochet hook for seaming
Instructions
- Cast on 14 stitches using your preferred method (long tail or provisional cast on).
- Row 1: K4, P6, K4
- Row 2: K14
- Row 3: K4, P6, K4
- Row 4: K14
- Row 5: K4, P6, K4
- Row 6: K4, C3F (cable 3 front - hold next 3 sts on cable needle in front, knit next 3 sts, then knit 3 sts from cable needle), K4
- Repeat rows 1-6 until the headband measures approximately 20 inches (or fits comfortably around your head).
- Bind off after completing a Row 5.
- Seam the bind off edge to the cast on edge to complete the headband.
