Description

It’s never been easier to knit a two toned ribbed beanie in the round! If you love the look of brioche but couldn’t quite tell your brks from your brps, you’re gonna love knitting the two toned fisherman’s rib.  You only work one color per round and the deep slouchy ribs form almost magically. This pattern has every row spelled out step by step and instructions for creating the beanie for sizes 6-12 months up to large adult.

For this pattern, experience with the fisherman’s rib stitch pattern is helpful but not required. If you know basic stitches, how to work into the stitch below and how to decrease, you can work this pattern no problem!

It uses a heavy DK weight to light worsted weight yarn. The exact gauge on 5mm (US 8) is 20sts by 26 rows on a 4in by 4in (10cm by 10cm) swatch in stockinette. You’ll need 4mm and 5mm needles, 16 inch circulars work well for this pattern but you may want to switch to DPNs for the crown decreases when there are fewer stitches on the needles.

In the downloadable PDF, you’ll receive:
