Maybe it’s because I haven’t left the house in 14 days, maybe it’s because there’s a crazy world-wide pandemic out there but I just want to be COZY! That’s where this Super Slouchy Sweater pattern came from. It was born out of that comfy, baggy sweater and sweat pants feeling.
Even though this sweater is so oversized and slouchy, it won’t take you forever to make! Using heavy worsted/aran weight yarn like Paintbox Yarns Simply Aran and a 6mm (US J) hook, this sweater works up surprisingly fast in half double crochet back loop stitches.
The coolest part is the slip stitch, knit-look edge at the bottom and sleeve cuffs which will be a fun challenge to keep beginner to intermediate crocheters on their toes!
Now, this sweater does call for about 1200 yards (1000 meters) of yarn so if you’ve got a bunch of beautiful worsted weight yarn in your stash, this might be the project to use it!
