Description
The yarn world is abuzz about Caron’s self-striping yarn Cakes and I’m officially on the bandwagon too!
This awesome yarn boasts chunky color changes and generous yardage making it perfect for this striped shawl. This intermediate pattern uses slip stitches to create a knit-look ribbing but it can easily be altered with beginner friendly single crochet.
In this pattern, we will cover how to select the right yarn cake for the project, single crocheting and slip stitching into the back loop as well as crochet increases and decreases used in the design. You’ll also learn how to achieve this look with 5 different, solid color yarns if Caron Cakes are not available in your area.
